About Us: From the butcher, the baker and the candlestick maker......We source our produce from local growers, farmers or crafters. Where possible we endeavour to shop locally grown produce which is fresh and organic, pesticide and preservative-free and produced in small batches to stay fresh. We communicate with farmers and home growers and crafters directly and help distribute their produce to the local community. So low food miles, minimum packaging, reduced waste and you join a community making a difference with good healthy local choices. As a Community Empowerment Initiative, we are a self-sustaining project. There are no fees to run our Hubs, unlike franchise or pyramid schemes. It is simply a community group incentivised at all levels to help change how the market system is currently working - bringing local produce direct to you. (it doesn't have to travel halfway around the globe first!!! Bonus!!!) Below are details on Joining, Why Sunnybees, and How the Ordering System Works. Join: Anyone can join and advertise their produce for free on the online platform and save money on your weekly grocery costs, travel costs and of course your time. Go to the Sunnybees online site contact page if you are interested in advertising or selling your product through us. We do not do 'loss leaders' offering produce 'at' or 'below' cost as this means the farmers pay for it as the case in supermarkets. We are 'price takers' and pay farmers and growers what they ask for and what they need to stay in business. Why Sunnybees? The goal is to cut your food bill, without compromising on the quality, freshness and variety of goods. With minimal effort, minimal packaging and miles. We want our local community to own our own local shopping system. * No Waste * Reduced packaging * No storage In order to make a change to people’s consumption habits, we need to tick 3 boxes: 1. Make local produce easily available. 2. Reduce unnecessary costs. 3. Help turn all trhe local great fresh food into healthy, tasty meals for everyone. ORDERING SYSTEM: The system is easy.
